Ever find yourself scrolling relentlessly through channels, movies, or recommendations from your streaming services, not knowing what to watch? Or do you need something new after watching your favorite show for the 10th time from beginning to end?

Feeling lost in the endless options of what to watch? You're not alone. Many of us struggle to pinpoint our interests. But fear not; we've got some tips to help you break free from this loop and find the perfect show or movie for tonight or even now.

How Do You Feel?
Your emotions can significantly influence what you decide to watch. If you are feeling down, you might want something to cheer you up, or if you're feeling morose, you might want something to replicate your mood and embrace those feelings. If nothing else, how you feel can rule out many genres of films or TV shows.

Do You Want to Be Entertained?
Answering yes isn't going to cause Robbie Williams to come busting through the TV singing "Let Me Entertain You" unless you put on a music channel that is playing his song. However, not everyone wants to be entertained all the time. Sometimes, you want something that will engage your brain, make you think, educate you, or do something else entirely. While film and TV are excellent ways to keep you entertained, there is so much more on TV than entertainment. You might fancy watching a documentary on people like Clive Davis; you might find sports hits the spot, and reality TV you can dip in and out of could better figure out what you want from what you watch and narrow down your choices that way.

Time
Remember, your viewing choices should fit your schedule, not the other way around. If you only have 30 minutes or an hour, look for something that fits this timeframe. Don't feel pressured to commit to a movie when you're short on time. Your viewing experience should be satisfying, not rushed. So, take control of your choices, and don't let doom scrolling eat into your time.

Take a Chance
Take a chance at something new because the worst thing that happens is you get bored and turn it off. But you never know; you might find you actually love it, and you have found something new to sink your teeth into. A great way to find something new is to look for new releases, don’t think about it, click watch, and get on with it. If you don't like it, you've lost nothing, but if you do, then you can settle down, get comfy, and immerse yourself in your choice.

Pick a Star
If you can't trust your decision-making, how about trusting your favorite star instead? Find something they are in and watch it. You know you like them, and chances are you will more than likely enjoy anything they're in for the most part. So pick someone you are a fan of, choose what to watch based on their presence, and off you go. Alternatively, pick a director whose work you like and look up other shows or features by them to watch.
