Happy Friday friends! I hope that you have had the most wonderful week! It has been... a week. On Monday my mom and I ran to our local farmstand and came out in the blistering heat... to a completely dead car. A VERY long story and 5 hours of extreme heat later... we finally had our car dropped off at the garage after hours and a sweet friend come pick us up from an hour away and bring us back to the cabin. We are so grateful for an amazing car repair shop... they are simply incredible. I well up with tears about them - because as a single lady it can be hard with these types of things and the honesty that they give is just incredible. So while the week started off hard... we have had moments of beauty gently reminding us of God's provision and care.
Here are some of my favorite things from this past week! First of all....
1. Time on the Shore
With the heat reaching crazy high numbers here in upstate New York (and the humidity being extremely difficult) we have been grateful to be able to cool off on the shore. To be honest... I am just not good with extreme heat so it was a difficult couple of days and I am grateful that yesterday the temperatures and the humidity started to lower.
On Tuesday of this week I shared a post on my top 5 affordable and cozy luxury travel items that are currently on sale on Amazon. The great thing is that these items were not just for the Amazon prime days... but are still on sale!
Here are just a couple of my favorites...
1. Sleep Mask
If you have been around this blog for any amount of time then you know I have spoken about eye masks for all different occasions of travel, but this one is my new favorite! It is perfect if you are a side sleeper (which I am) and it is perfect if you are wanting to block out light without putting pressure on your eyes! There are more than 13,000 positive reviews so you know that I am not the only one loving this! *smiles* And y'all, the best thing is that it is SUPER affordable. It is typically under $16 but is currently on sale for LESS than $6!! Purchase HERE!
Y'all. This sound machine has been the answer to the lugging/packing/unpacking of a fan in many different places! Haha I am laughing as I remember the way that we even dragged a fan into the outback of Alaska and if only we had had this! haha!
I discovered this a few years ago and finally purchased one and it is AMAZING. Y'all. It is a perfect size for travel (it fits right into your carry on) and is incredibly light weight at 1.2 pounds. It is only 4.4 x4.4 x 2 inches wide and hide so it is the tiniest little thing, that is absolutely perfect. You can set it to a white noise type level or you can put it really high if you are wanting to have a very loud noise machine. There are 10 different fan noises and 10 different volumes to match so you have lots of choices!
There are nearly 30,000 positive reviews on this product and it is currently on sale for less than $40!!! Run and go purchase one now y'all! You won't regret it! Click HERE to purchase!
Find out my other 3 items (2 of which are less than $10!!) and read the HERE!

4. Seeing Loved Ones and Spending Time with Friends
It has been a beautiful week of spending time with friends where are families have been friends for generations. This week we gathered for smores and it was a lovely time. Later this week we had a chance to spend time with some cousins and even my great aunt. These are treasured memories from my earliest childhood memories and I am grateful for them this year again. This week I shared all about 15 amazing benefits of eating blackberries! Y'all... seriously AMAZING to read all of the good things in this little berry! Read the post HERE!
With Caravan Sonnet turning eleven years old this year I love sharing on Fridays some of the older but most popular posts on the blog! One of the things that Caravan Sonnet developed into was a a resource for those looking for trip itineraries around the United States and World.
As I look to August, I remember fondly a special cruise that we took on Holland America 5 years ago. This cruise was special for so many reasons and I have a very fond spot in my heart for Holland America.
If you are looking for a ship review of our time on the Zaandam Ship you can read all about it HERE! I also answered a ton of questions about Holland America in a post that you can read HERE!
