Happy Friday friends! I hope that you have had the most wonderful week! It has been a busy week over here for me at work, a wonderful time with a surprise trip from my sister, and a few hard moments ... along with beauty that surrounds us.
Here are some of my favorite things from this past week! First of all....
I shared this on instagram earlier this week ...Morning light in the corner of the 1901 camp… shining in through vintage window glass… reminding me of the generations who have sat in this space, clinging to the truth of the Lord caring and watching over us and knowing the generational stories of care and provision…a gentle and encouraging reminder this morning.
The poor and helpless ones trust in you, Lord, for you are famous for being the helper of the fatherless. // psalm 10:14 //

Each week I routinely get questions about my quiet time. This spring I shared about my current season of how I spend time with the Lord. If you are curious about this you can find that post HERE.
On Wednesday of this week I was excited to link up with some other ladies in bloggy world and share a bit about our favorite binge worthy shows. I love reading these types of posts to see and learn what others are watching and jot down ideas for the future. I hope that if you are looking for some inspirational and encouraging tv shows that these ideas will encourage/inspire you.
I do want to make a note of one thing. If you are new here to this space, first, welcome. Second, during my time of fighting for my life and health I became incredibly committed to what I watched being items that fell specifically into one of three categories: something that was inspirational, something that made me laugh, or something that fell into a mystery/interesting show. Knowing how important it was for me to do everything I could to support my body physically and mentally I chose not to watch things that would be scary, frightening, or would cause stress and worry. To be honest I am not and have never been a big TV watcher. Especially after fighting for my health, but even before I would much rather be out doing something in the world, learning something new, creating, reading or most importantly connecting with loved ones because life and time are short that TV has never held lots of appeal. But after getting my life back- I honestly don't want to spend a minute of it on things that just waste time or help me "zone out/veg out". So when it comes to TV... we are pretty strict around here.
I also want to say that depending on the season of life you are in things may look different for you for different reasons. If you are in a season of life for different reasons where TV is something that you are using and watching I hope these ideas encourage you and inspire you with shows that can make you laugh, be inspired, and find joy! You can read the post HERE!

If you are looking for a book for your parents this one is so encouraging, real, and makes my mom laugh out loud and encourage her at this stage of life. Full of life and encouragement- I definitely recommend it y'all! With Caravan Sonnet turning eleven years old this year I love sharing on Fridays some of the older but most popular posts on the blog! This week is a bit different. As some of you saw in this post HERE, I said goodbye to my fur baby, Scamper, on July 1st. It has honestly been very very difficult and hard. Scamper was a beloved part of my life for 16 years... I still have tears. Those who have lost a family pet I know you understand. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and love during this time. Here is what I wrote:
16 years with this one who made me a fur mama and brought so much love, laughter, and light into my life went by to quickly… I miss you already buddy.
I never thought I would ever own a cat… but this one was different and really never even acted like a cat… came into my life after a serious relationship ended, moved with me on 5 cross country moves, made us laugh when we thought we could never laugh again, transformed the entire family into loving a kitten, curled up with me during deep days of pain, had adventures galore (even at a school) and spent almost a decade taking care of me when I was fighting for my health and life. Today was a most difficult day… lots of tears and lots of gratitude. An amazing family member…. We love you.
Thank you Scamper for everything.
