After the cleanup- read more for the miraculous story below!
Right after the tree came down on our home!
As some of you may remember about a week ago I shared that a very big tree had come crashing down on our roof...right above where my mom was in the house. It was truly a miracle that it did not come through the roof. And yesterday we experienced another miracle.
As a bit of background, this was a tree from our neighbors neglected / un-maintained(by her own words) lot. We have asked for years for these trees to be maintained through the town hall (the woman who owns this lives in a different section of our town) and so have the neighbors on the other side of the lot who are having the same problems. We finally were able to connect with the woman who owns the lot after the tree came down on our house.
The neighbor promised to pay for everything, continued to promise us that she was "trustworthy and we could ask anyone around town that she would do the right thing", supposedly hired someone to remove the tree, and unfortunately the day before work was to be done (approaching the weekend) decided “it wasn’t her problem” and told us “good luck”.
Mom and I were stunned at her decision and stunned that she would leave us to not only fix the situation that was her fault but also announce it right before the weekend when nothing could be done (and the weather was predicting a huge windstorm that would further damage the roof). We prayed and instead of living in what the neighbor chose to do and become bitter we lived in faith and ask the Lord to work out the details. He did this and more!
A kind company took our call, came out today and removed the tree going above and beyond to watch over our home and care for us. When they arrived they did warn us that the damage looked worse than we thought (believing that the roof had been damaged severely) but after they removed the huge tree we were left with one minor broken gutter, a minor chip of wood about 6inches long out of our deck railing and one lone shingle that needs to be replaced. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ™Œ God continues each and everyday to care for us.
Thank you for all of your prayers friends. We are so grateful for the care… even of a roof.
