In society, there is a lot of emphasis on romantic love. In all the films, there’s a romantic plotline. As you get older, everyone is always asking if you’ve met someone. There’s even a whole day dedicated to romantic love!
But there are all sorts of other forms of love. There’s family love, love for your pets, and love between friends. Despite what society might tell you, these loves are just as important as romantic love.
Friendship is one of the most beautiful forms of love of all time. Think about it: your friends love you, regardless of a legal agreement (like marriage) or bonds of blood (like family). They simply agree to love you and spend time with you because they enjoy your company and who you are as a person. What’s more beautiful than that?
So it’s integral that you show your friends you love and appreciate them. There are common ways to do this – telling them, spending time with them, or buying them a gift on their birthday. However, sometimes the best way to prove to someone that you love them is by doing something unique and unexpected. But what options are available to you?
Write them a letter
It’s great to be open and communicative with your friends. Telling them regularly the impact they’ve had in your life is always a great thing to do. Now and then, though, it can’t hurt to go a little overboard.
By writing a heartfelt letter, confessing how much your friends mean to you, you are accomplishing two things. One: communicate your love to your friends. Two: giving them a physical object that they can come back to later and read again.
You can make your letter as complex or simple as you like; you could decorate it with stickers and drawings or leave it as a blank piece of paper.
Arrange a trip
Friendships often bloom when you have shared experiences. Maybe you met in Grade Three English, and your school experience bonded you for life. As you grow up, it is often shared experiences that you reminisce on, like the time one of you got stuck in a bathroom, and the rest had to help them get out.
Creating new memories is easy and shows your friends you are invested in your relationship. This can be as dramatic or simple as you like and range depending on the cost and your requirements. It could be as easy as booking a meal out or as big as booking a trip abroad.
Help them out
Everyone is going through something. At any given time, your friends are probably struggling with something. This could be big – like a divorce – or small – like struggling to keep on top of cleaning their house. Acknowledging their struggle, and offering to help them out, is a great way to show your friends you are thinking about them and that you care for them. Take inspiration from stories you see on the internet – like Passavant Memorial Homes, who went above and beyond for the community during Covid-19 – and find ways to help your own little community of friends.

The minimalist style is a trend that has emerged in recent years, and with the rise of minimalist fashion, the trend has also moved on to our phones and lifestyle. People don't need to take up too much space on their phones with minimalist apps. Their design is minimal and simple, making them easy to use and easier to maintain. For example, many apps have features that help with the daily routine. They provide features like alerts for important events and reminders for tasks.\
Some people might think that minimalist apps can be pretty boring because there is little functionality in them. But, they are usually just what we need at the moment because they're so efficient in delivering what they've promised. Here is why minimalist phone apps can help you organize your day:
Apps for Getting Things Done
There are minimalist phone applications that can help in getting tasks done. They can help simplify your routine and reduce the clutter on your phone. Apps like Moment, Do It Now, and Declutter apps are designed to help you get things done. Some of these apps focus on one specific thing, like tracking your fitness or giving a pep talk. Others provide a general overview of what you're doing so that you can be aware of how much time you're spending on each task, as well as what you're not doing enough of.
Apps for Social Media Management & Organization
With the rise of social media, managing all your social media platforms has become a chore. This is particularly true with the explosion of smartphones and their ability to connect us with a wider range of people. Minimalist phone apps, like Crowdfire, have only been around for a few years, but they have quickly gained traction thanks to their single-focus design and room for further growth. They are known to provide only a handful of features, but it's clear that these minimalist phone apps are still in the early stages and have great potential when it comes to helping you to organize your social media and online presence.
Apps For Keeping Track of What You Need To Do Today and Next Week
Nowadays, we get so many notifications and alerts that we can't keep up with them. That is why the best minimalistic phone app for keeping track of what you need to do today and next week can help you. A minimalistic day planner is a digital application that helps us plan out the day and prioritize tasks for ourselves. It works well with other productivity apps like Focus To Do, which gives step-by-step instructions on doing something or scheduling it in your calendar while helping you to complete those tasks.
Apps For Finding Things
When we need to find something, it is always a struggle. We have to search for our items in different places and apps. Especially when we are looking for a phone app that can help us find our phones, fortunately, we can discover here how to find my iPhone's last location to help locate our phone.
The best minimalist phone app would be a list of key functions that includes a toggle button and notes or highlights. This will help you get the most out of your mobile device by making practical use of its features, so you can keep on top of anything you've lost.
Even if you are not a vain person, it’s hard to argue against the fact that appearances count for a lot. Looking good makes you feel good and can additionally alter the way that other people respond to you. In short, an investment into your natural beauty is an investment into a brighter future.
So, what steps should be taken to help you unlock a better appearance? Here’s all you need to know.
1| Get a better night’s rest
Before worrying about changes that can be implemented during your waking hours, you should focus on your night routine. Investing in a better night’s sleep could mean quitting screens before bed or getting a new mattress. It could also require seeing a specialist to fight your sleep apnea or partner’s snoring. Overcoming insomnia to get a good night’s sleep can aid your skin, teeth, nails, hair, and more.
In addition to those beauty benefits, you’ll feel energized and less irritable.
2| Combat skin problems
They say beauty is only skin deep. It should not be forgotten, then, that the appearance and health of your skin will have a telling influence on your looks. Using CBD oil to fight acne, switching to natural makeup, and protecting yourself against the sun are all good options. The look of your skin will largely be a reflection of its health. Therefore, preventing breakouts with smarter skincare is the best solution by far.
Perhaps most importantly, you must remove makeup at night.
3| Get a better physique
Body image is an essential feature of esthetic appeal. While there is no definitive body type that should be glorified as the best, toning up is probably advised. The athletic look makes you feel more confident in your skin while your clothes will hang better too. Besides, getting fitter actively boosts your quality of life. Completing a successful body transformation will feel like you’ve achieved something too.
You can start to see benefits within two months, and they can last a lifetime.
4| Revamp your fashion
Building a better body and natural appearance is great. However, it’s not the only way to enhance your look. Outfit choices can play an equally significant role. For starters, you should get measured to know your exact clothing sizes. Following this, a revamp of your fashion choices can unlock a new sense of confidence and energy. You can get advice from online guides or even hire a stylist.
On a similar note, a new hairstyle can work wonders.
5| Focus on nutrition
The old cliche that you are what you eat rings true. For starters, you must focus on drinking enough water. Hydration aids your skin, teeth, hair, nails, and mental wellness. You must also find the right balance of good quality calories without overindulging yourself. Testing for food allergies is another step towards success as this can help you find a way to stop bloating that affects your look and wellness.
Fuel yourself right, and you will notice a difference.

Even for those of us who love to travel, having a home base is essential for our well-being and ability to recover between trips. The trouble is that with property and belongings comes responsibility and, while you can technically leave your house unattended as you quench your wanderlust, the jury’s out on whether you would truly want to.
After all, a surprising amount of burglaries happen when owners are on vacation, and returning to damp, dark properties after long-haul trips is never appealing. This is why, for many travel-loving homeowners, seeking house sitting either from friends or vetted professionals is a far preferable solution. To prove why you could benefit from doing the same, we’re going to consider the true benefits of house sitting while you’re abroad.
Cutting insurance costs
While insurance premiums and payments rarely get a look in when it comes to trip planning, they probably should. In fact, for regular travelers, especially, home insurance plans that typically become null and void if a property is empty for 30+ days should be a pressing concern. Of course, that’s not to say that you need to trawl through your insurance paperwork every time you try to embrace your adventurous side. It simply means that you should think about house sitters who, as well as protecting your property from vacation-induced burglaries, can also prevent your insurance plan from ever becoming obsolete or inactive.
Keeping things running smoothly
Coming home from an amazing trip is hard enough, let alone when you return to a house that hasn’t had a lick of air or light in the time you’ve been away. Worse, unused and potentially dust-laden electricals and AC units mean that you could end up spending your entire first evening at home chasing down a 24 hour AC service or electrician who can address faults that occur when you finally do switch everything on. House sitters who live in and maintain your home can largely help to offset this risk, ensuring not only a clean, dust-free environment, but also a fresh, aired feeling for when you finally step back through the door. Take your time finding the ideal sitter, and you might even return home to the joys of a freshly baked cake and a pristine property!
Providing you with peace of mind
At the very least, concerns about whether we did enough to keep our homes safe and well during our time away can keep us up at night and prevent us from fully diving into the vacation waters. Luckily, house sitters can help here too, with many modern professionals, and even your friends or family, now equipped with smart phones that make it easier than ever to provide you with home updates, and even video calls that show you first-hand why you should ditch the worry and enjoy your trip in its entirety!
Admittedly, it can feel daunting to let someone else live in your space for the first time, but never let that stop you from making the most of these undeniable house-sitting benefits.
In the quest to live a healthier life, there isn’t much that we won’t try. But a surprising thing has been sitting under our noses all of this time, and it’s crosswords. So, sit back with your crossword book at the ready as we explain the reasons why they are good for you.
Strengthens memory
If you are worried about your memory, you should sit down a daily jumble and work on your memory strength. Doing a daily challenge can help your brain to grow and protect your memory, and some studies have shown that regular brain activities can improve your memory by ten years. So every time you are sitting down with a crossword, whisper to yourself, “I’m making my brain younger”.
Helps fight disease
Mental decline in older people is a big concern and something that is being studied around the world. One thing that has become clear, daily mental activities are responsible for keeping mental diseases at bay. But it is not just a mental disease that it can prevent, the overall effect that it has on our bodies is amazing. This may be due to stress reduction and focusing on a problem outside of our bodies.
Improves your mood
Did you know that every time you sit down and do a crossword, you are helping to alleviate your anxiety? As it turns out, after sitting down with a crossword, your mood is elevated. And you don’t need to be in a bad mood to feel the effects. Anyone can benefit from this. The change of focus can help your subconscious to deal with whatever is bothering you while your brain is kept busy with some word games.
Keeps your mind active
We all look for ways to keep our bodies active but keeping our minds active is another priority. Crosswords are a great way to help keep your mind active no matter what age you are. And if you think that you are not smart enough to do them, you can easily start off with children puzzles until you feel confident enough to tackle the New York Times Sunday Crossword.
Learn something new
If you struggle with crosswords and find that words often escape you, there is nothing wrong with having a quick Google. Why are we encouraging this? Because even if you don’t know the answer, the research to discover it can help you learn something new. And that is the entire point of a crossword, to keep your brain active. Plus, the trickier the crossword, the more research you will have to do.
Play with family
This may come as a shock but people rarely do crosswords by themselves. If you are sitting in your living room and your partner is sitting near you, you can ask them for help. It is something that is encouraged as it helps to create a better bond between people. So, don’t feel annoyed that you have to ask for help, you are getting your loved one’s brains ticking too and growing bonds with them.
Are you thinking about a career change? Do you want to see the world but are unsure of how to make it happen? If so, then travel nursing is for you! This blog post will go through six reasons why people should try out this exciting profession. Whether you're an experienced nurse or just starting in your field, there's something here for everyone. So grab some coffee and get ready for some fun reading!
Low Cost of Living
A low cost of living is a top reason for such an attractive career choice. The US Department Of Housing And Urban Development says that the average hourly wage in nursing has been steadily increasing over time, but to keep up with inflation and other costs, nurses need to earn more. Due to this discrepancy between wages and increased living costs, many nurses have found themselves struggling to maintain a comfortable lifestyle.
However, when working as a travel nurse, you can reduce your cost of living significantly. On average, the cost of living in one city is 28% lower than another US City with an identical median income and costs (according to this study). This means that if you were making $53000 per year at the higher cost of living, you would be making $39000 per year at the lower cost of living. That is a significant difference!
Moreover, travel nurses often get housing and other benefits included in their pay. You may also be able to deduct your moving expenses if you need to come from out of state for work. This is because the IRS will consider this a “temporary move” according to its guidelines which allow up to $2300 per year as an itemized deduction.
Lucrative Venture
Nurses are in high demand at the moment, as more and more baby boomers retire every day. Nurses will always be needed to care for people who need it - even if they can't afford healthcare themselves. The average salary of a travel nurse is $44 per hour, with an annual salary that ranges from $92,000 to $120,000. That's more than double the median salary for nurses in general. So travel nursing is a lucrative venture!
Travel nursing can be a great way to see the world and broaden your horizons. You'll have access to new cultures, people, languages, food choices - you name it! If you're interested in travel nursing but don't think that's for you or worry about insurance coverage overseas, then check out https://prolinkstaffing.com/travel-nursing.
You'll be a part of the team from day one and work closely with other nurses on your unit. Nurses are always needed nationwide - especially if you're willing to travel! There is no shortage of employment opportunities for an experienced nurse.
Nurses who travel can also receive reimbursement for their travel expenses, and they are not subject to payroll taxes. Travel nurses may find assignments with a variety of top hospitals across the United States and Canada. Employers offer these positions in response to shortages at many healthcare facilities today, which is driving wages even higher.
Exposure to Different Opportunities and Challenges
Different day-to-day experiences at different facilities and hospitals. The ability to meet new people in a fast-paced environment. Opportunities for advancement, continuing education options, certifications, licensures are all available with certain agencies that you work for. Greater exposure to cultural differences allows travelers to explore different types of cultures. Travelers have an opportunity to experience new ideas and ways of life without having to commit for the long haul.
Travel nurses often have an opportunity to work in different facilities and hospitals, which means exposure to new challenges. Travelers are also able to meet people from all over the world by working with them every day. With so many opportunities for advancement, it is easier than ever before for travelers to move through a career progression ladder if they want or need to. Travelers also have the opportunity to explore a new culture without having to commit for a long time. The ability to do this is what makes travel nursing so appealing.
Freedom and Flexibility
One of the most appealing aspects of travel nursing is just that: freedom! The freedom to make your hours and work when you want. You can set up a routine for yourself like waking up by noon, working on doable assignments during the day, relaxing in the evening with family or friends, then sleeping until morning’s first light. The freedom of schedule can be helpful to those who are parents with children at home or for people who struggle with seasonal depression.
The flexibility in a travel nursing position is also essential - you can work as much or as little as you want and when suits your needs best! You don’t need another job to supplement your income, and you can take time off when needed. Sometimes the freedom to work as much or little as desired in a travel nursing position is one of the most appealing aspects for travelers considering this opportunity. The best way to find out if being a traveling nurse would be ideal for you is to consider it! You may have an idea of what you are looking for and can take the next step to explore it.
Avoid Workplace Politics
There's no denying that workplace politics is a reality. It exists in every industry and stays present throughout each day of work. But it becomes even more exacerbated when you aren't the one who has hired or promoted your boss, co-workers and others to their positions based on meritocracy alone. This can lead to an environment where people are constantly vying for power and control, which can be frustrating.
In the nursing field specifically, this is even clearer to see with all of the drama that goes down over nurses' unionization and whether or not patients should have a say in their care decisions. Avoiding workplace politics doesn't necessarily mean quitting your job. However - it just means being on the lookout for it and understanding that when you go into a hospital or nursing home as a traveler, other people are not going to be ready to fight every single battle with you. You'll have to decide what's worth fighting for in your own time.
"There's no denying that workplace politics is a reality. It exists in every industry and stays present throughout each day of work." "But it becomes even more exacerbated when you aren't the one who has hired or promoted your boss, co-workers, and others to their positions based on meritocracy alone."
Expand Your Network
When you're bouncing around from place to place, it's easy to build a diverse network. The people that you'll meet along the way are pretty often in completely different industries than your own, so you get exposed to new ideas and perspectives on life. You also have the opportunity to make professional connections with doctors and nurses of all types who can give you valuable advice and recommendations on your career path.
Although such a transient lifestyle might not be for everyone, it's well worth the experience just to see how all these different industries operate under one roof. You'll meet people from vastly different backgrounds with entirely foreign customs who are doing things in ways that will seem familiar but also unfamiliar at the same time. It's an exciting way to learn about yourself, so don't shy away from the adventure of travel nursing too quickly. You might find out some valuable lessons along the way! The people who have worked in this industry are very experienced and can give great advice on every subject imaginable related to the medical field.
This is a great way to meet people from different backgrounds with similar interests in all fields of work, not just healthcare. It's also an opportunity to build your network and expand your knowledge at the same time! For those who crave adventure but are looking for more stability, this can be a good option if you have the right type of personality.
If you're someone who loves to learn and explore new places, this profession is perfect for you! You'll get a lot more than just a paycheck at the end of your shift; instead, by exploring different cultures and experiencing life in all its forms, you will develop into a wiser person as well.
Conclusion
The healthcare industry is changing, and the future looks promising for nurses. So if you're looking to make a change in your career path or just want an adventure, consider traveling as a nurse! You get paid well, meet new people from around the world—and see places that will amaze you. Travel nursing is an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to embark on an exciting new adventure. Travel nursing is a rewarding and fulfilling profession with plenty of opportunities out there for people looking for something different in their careers. So if you're considering it—go ahead! You won't regret it!

10 Fun Things To Look Forward To Right Now
https://unsplash.com/photos/7noZJ_4nhU8
When it comes to life, you’re always going to want to make sure that you’re doing everything you can to try and enjoy your life. Even when you’re someone that loves to put others first and make sure that your family is happy, you still deserve to have things in your life that you love. But when you’re busy, these things aren’t always that easy for you to do. Instead, you may find that you’re always living on autopilot. This can actually affect your life and mean that you just end up feeling a little exhausted and deflated at all times. But, when we all have something to look forward to, it’s one of those things that allows you to feel perkier and then go ahead and enjoy the plans too.
But what happens when you don’t really know what to plan or you feel as if you just don’t know what will make you happy any more? Maybe you’ve spent so much time focusing on your kids and their lives that you’ve forgotten what you can do to enjoy your life and make great memories? Maybe you’re even trapped in the same cycle of doing the same things week in, week out? When that’s the case, you definitely need to shake things up a little. Let’s take a look at what you can do to put some plans in place for your entire family to look forward to (and some things for mama too). And they can be small as well as fun and exciting. Here they are.
1. Dinner Time
First of all, we’re going to kick off with something simple. Because it’s always good to try and look forward to dinner. Maybe you want to make a fun new recipe or try new things as a family? It’s always nice to try and enjoy mealtimes together, so coming up with exciting new dinner ideas is a great place to start.
2. Days Out As A Family
Putting plans in place always gives you things to look forward to. If you want to all have fun together, plan days out. You could head to the lake with your performance fishing shirts and fish for the day. You could play sports or see an attraction or visit another town. Plan things in so you can all get excited.
3. A Vacation
Sometimes, nothing can be as exciting as a vacation. If you know that you haven’t really been able to travel as much this year and you want to change that, why not book a trip or two? It could be that this is the one thing that gets you all excited. And it’ll allow you to relax when you’re there.
4. Pampering
Something that can be great for you as a mama is to make sure that you’re working in more pampering. It’s safe to say that you need your downtime and to recharge. So, an at-home pamper session could be exactly what you need.
5. Lunch With Friends
Something else that could be good for you and give you things to look forward to is the idea of having lunch with friends. Seeing your girlfriends can bring so much joy to your life. It doesn’t have to be all of the time, but making these plans can shake up your days and give you something to look forward to.
6. A Daily Workout
An option for the entire family (but also to boost your mood) is the idea of having a workout everyday. This could be a class for you or the gym, sports for the kids, then a walk at the weekend or even fun sports together. It can make all of our lives much more enjoyable.
7. Weekends At The Beach
If you live near a beach or a lake, aiming to spend a lot of your time there could be so much fun. Why not think about taking a picnic or even going with family friends. It could be just what you want in order to make the most of your weekends and make some fun and exciting memories.
8. A Date Night
It could even be that what you really need is a great date night with your other half. Think of the cute date night ideas that you could work on. It might be the case that having some one-on-one time on a regular basis gets you excited and makes you feel like you have something to look forward to. It’s nice to remember that you are an adult too and a partner and not just a mommy!
9. Different Holidays
But then also, we have the holidays coming up. There are so many little things that you can be working on right now to celebrate the holidays and make them extra special. Whether Thanksgiving is your thing or you prefer Christmas, why not go all out? We also have Halloween and then there’s Easter too. Just focus on the different holidays that are coming up and how you can make them special.
10. Making The Most Of Every Day
Finally, you’re then going to want to make sure that you’re actually just making the most of every single day. Anything that you can do to ensure that you’re happy every day can be fun. Maybe planning little activities for the kids and adding some fun to your daily routine could work? It really doesn’t have to be the case that you are feeling stuck or lost or bored every day. So think of creative new ways that you can make every single day feel special.
11. Me Time
As much as you may be worrying about the world and what the future may bring, it’s safe to say that there will always be so many fun things that you can look forward to. You just have to keep your mind focused on those things and the things that will actually make your life better. When you do that, it’s much easier for you to have a good life and a good time with the people that matter most to you in life.
Happy Saturday friends! As I mentioned in June I thought that for the next year it would be interesting and helpful to those that might be moving to document and share some behind the scenes things of our moving experience.
Today's update is going to be pretty brief. To be honest, we are a bit exhausted and as a friend recently so well termed something "worn thin". Moving is exhausting and if you have done it this summer, in the midst of grief, in the midst of a pandemic, etc. then my heart is with you. So in the weeks to come I look forward to updating more things specifically.
If you are wanting to follow along on some specific highlights or questions I have answered through instagram you can do so HERE (Part 1) and HERE (Part 2). If you are interested in reading more of the updates you can click on the links below:
