Happy Friday friends! I hope that y'all had a lovely weekend! Today I am excited to continue recap my Alaskan Road Trip Adventures from 2019. As I have shared, I wanted to do this because I hope that it encourages you to consider taking a road trip of your own this summer to this beautiful part of the world!
Today I am excited to share about the yummy and wonderful Resurrection Roadhouse Restaurant which is located on the Seward Windsong Lodge Property! If you missed last weeks posts about my stay at the Seward Windsong Lodge you can click HERE to find out about the property and HERE to find out more about our room!
So as I just shared the Resurrection Roadhouse is located on the property and from our room it was only about a 5 minute walk around the loop to the restaurant. While you could drive to the restaurant if you needed to, the pathways are handicap accessible and it makes a lovely little walk to go to a meal. As you approach the restaurant the views of the mountains are just spectacular and it is incredibly lovely. There is outdoor seating available and the porch looked absolutely lovely.
There was a wait for the porch tables and we were starving so we decided to eat indoors which was also lovely. There are windows everywhere and you can easily see out to appreciate all of the beautiful views.
One of the things that I also really liked was that from the moment you sat down, you felt relaxed and that despite the "rusticness" of the property itself, this was going to be a fabulous dinner and it truly was. I felt that this experience at the restaurant was more in line with the Pursuit Collection "vibe" of what we had expected from our stay. From beginning to end every little detail was fabulous and we ended up spending a couple of hours just talking, eating, and laughing. I have said this numerous times, but it truly was one of my favorite meals of the whole entire trip.
One of the things that was delightful to discover was the fact that Resurrection Roadhouse Restaurant carries a wide variety of gluten free options on the menu. As someone who has Celiac Disease it was nice to know that these options were available at the restaurant even before I arrived and it was refreshing to know that so much precautions were taken and I could enjoy my dinner (and also the next morning breakfast) with no worries of cross-contamination.
I do have to say that between the two Pursuit Collection Properties (Seward Windsong Lodge and Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge) this one had the better option for those with allergies hands down. There were so many options and it was simply lovely.
If you are traveling to Seward and have decided to not stay at the property (which you should), you should still come for a meal- especially if you have allergies.
This was the one meal time on the trip that we ate all three courses- apps, main and desert. We were miserably full after (*smiles*), but each course was so yummy!
I was able to get a real feel for Resurrection Roadhouse as I ate breakfast and dinner from the restaurant. The presentation of both my meals was absolutely lovely. And as a lady fighting for her health it was also wonderful to read about how Generations Restaurant strives to use quality food that is all-natural and without preservatives, antibiotics, and hormones as well as using fresh local produce and fish.
I truly hope that y'all have the opportunity to go and eat at Resurrection Roadhouse! Please let me know if you have any questions!!
