On Friday night I had the most wonderful time at dinner with people whom I dearly treasure. My heart walked away full, my stomach hurting from laughter, and drove home incredibly grateful at a perfect evening... moments treasured in my heart.
Saturday morning I headed with my mom up into Lake Placid - it was a beautiful morning drive and the views were stunning. The weather was perfect and it was a gorgeous day to explore. After spending some time in Whiteface/Lake Placid area we drove over to Saranac Lake- a place I hadn't been to since I was a kid.
It was fun to spend a little bit of time there and I had the biggest smile watching some kiddos go sledding down this really long hill. I wanted to jump out and join them hahaha- but thought I should reconsider the private property sign. Next time. *smiles*
Saturday afternoon I added a new med to the treatment protocol (you can read more about this HERE) and Scamper above pretty much sums up my thoughts on that. Hahaha. Y'all I know Scamper doesn't make it to the blog often, but this "cat" (who I swear thinks he is a dog - he grew up with dogs) of mine just makes me laugh.
Some of you know this story but for those who don't I adopted Scamper (the picture above is the day I got him) and while I was always a dog person before this, Scamper turned out to be the best little gift in a very difficult season of life. I debated long and hard about getting a cat simply because of my love of dogs, but at the time that this picture was taken I had no idea that my health was going to shatter and I never would have been able to properly care for a dog. This picture taken almost 11 years ago (in December) just makes me smile... this picture... and scamper specifically reminds me that all of the little details in life are being constantly worked out for the good.
Yesterday (Sunday) was spent connecting with some old friends, working on shop orders and new items (I can't wait to show y'all a new junk journal coming this week), bloggy posts, reading, writing deadlines, and a lovely yoga class. Y'all- I have done yoga here and there over the years but this winter I have been taking classes regularly and have really fallen in love with it. Any other yoga lovers out there?
I can't believe that we are already into the 2nd week of March y'all and that my birthday is next Sunday! I don't have any plans for my birthday, but hopefully something fun will come along! *smiles* This new year seems to be flying so quickly. I want to grab onto the moments and just hold time still in some ways, and yet it continues to march forward and with that I know will come new adventures and joys.
Did y'all have a good weekend? Did you do anything special this weekend? Happy Monday friends! I hope that you have a wonderful beginning to your new week!
