Lord Camden Inn Review // Camden, Maine

October 4, 2021

Happy Monday friends! As I mentioned last week, I am excited to spend the next couple of weeks sharing with y'all some recap posts from the girls trip that I took four years ago through New England, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia (along with some new posts from this time that I never shared also!)! I hope that it encourages you to consider taking a road trip (in part or in whole depending on your circumstances) this fall to these beautiful places in the world.

With the world slowly opening back up to some travel, the places that we went to and explored and the posts that I will be sharing are really good options (especially for those - who like myself) are extremely cautious with health reasons as we were outside and separated away from others so much. I hope that these can be adapted for your own personal needs.
One of the things that I am excited to share in these posts about the trip is the places that we stayed at. Today I am so excited to share with y'all about the place that we stayed at in Camden, Maine which was the Lord Camden Inn. It truly was an amazing place to stay and I definitely recommend it.

Lord Camden Inn is a premier downtown boutique hotel that is nestled into the heart of the downtown streets. The beautiful 36-room inn is a four-story property that has both rooms and suites.
The slogan on the room key says "a stay worth remembering" and this could not be more true. Lord Camden Inn is a Triple A 3-Diamond rated property, is completely non-smoking, and is also pet-friendly.
The Inn looks like it is part of a New England postcard from the front and the back and it is perfect for a romantic getaway, a girls weekend, or a family vacation.
We arrived at the Inn on Saturday late afternoon after traveling for the day and were immediately struck by the Inn's stunning architecture. One of my favorite things about the Inn was the beautiful old world brick walls that were throughout the property. Even our room suite had a brick wall section and it was just gorgeous.
We were warmly welcomed to our stay and were offered assistance with our luggage.
After checking in, we pulled around to the back of the hotel to unload our luggage. The parking for the Inn is about two blocks away in a reserved parking lot for Inn guests, so there is a couple of spaces for 15 minute parking to load and unload your belongings.
Our room was on the second floor and was a deluxe fireplace suite with two queen beds.
The Deluxe Fireplace Rooms are oversized, with ample space, high ceilings, crown molding, and the beautiful architectural brickwork that I mentioned earlier. Each of the rooms include gas fireplaces and either come with a King or 2 Queen beds. As I mentioned, we were given a room with 2 queen beds and the beds were so incredibly soft and comfortable. I literally had one of the best nights of sleep of the whole trip that first evening. (If you are interested in seeing more of the rates and rooms that are available you can click HERE.)
The minute that we walked in we felt comfortable and excited for our stay. It truly had a welcoming and yet sophisticated feel to it.
One of the best parts about the room was the private balacony that we had. It was large enough that we both could relax and it was so neat to see the streets of Camden from our room.
When we arrived and checked in, we were delighted to discover how close we were to everything in Camden. We were literally just footsteps away from not only the unique shops, the restaurants, the amphitheater, but also to the waterfront Harbor
Because we had reservations with the Maine Schooner Olad for a Sunset Cruise, we were delighted to discover that we didn't need to drive and park at the waterfront but could easily walk the 2-3 minutes from Lord Camden Inn.
Every guest who stays at Lord Camden Inn also receives breakfast as part of their stay. Breakfast is available each morning from 7am to 9:30am and includes a variety of different options and choices.
There was a variety of fresh fruit, different breakfast meats, quiche, hot and cold cereals, a variety of different breads and many different juices, teas, and gourmet coffee to enjoy.
Overall our stay was excellent and I would definitely go back to Camden and stay at the property again. A couple of quick notes for those who are considering staying at Lord Camden Inn:

1. Parking to check-in was a bit tricky for a Saturday. Due to the limited parking on the streets and the location of Lord Camden Inn, you may want to pull around to the back of the Inn to check-in as there really are limited street parking spots.

2. Be aware that the parking lot for the Inn is a couple of blocks away. It is easy to get to, but for those who may have disability issues, keep this in mind. The wonderful thing about Lord Camden Inn is that it was full of warm hospitality and was told that someone would be happy to park the car for me and retreive at the time I needed it. This option is available for all guests and is great to know ahead of time.

3. For those who follow a gluten-free diet, Lord Camden Inn did provide a variety of options at breakfast, including a gluten-free granola. This little extra was just one tiny example of the amazing service at the Inn.
The property is unique and beautiful beyond what it offers in the way of amenities and location. The stunning architecture and those on staff truly make Lord Camden Inn what it is and somehow that just adds to the magic of a stay in Camden, Maine.

Our stay at Lord Camden Inn was absolutely wonderful. Even a couple of weeks later I continue to talk about how restful and rejuvinating the property is and how welcoming everyone on staff was. You could tell that there is a closeness and a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is throughout the community. It truly welcomes you in and is wonderful and I would love to go back.
